The Anza Trail Coalition Arizona is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation, protection and interpretation of the Juan Bautista de Anza National Historic Trail. The Anza Trail is a 1,200-mile historic route that retraces the journey of the 1775-76 Spanish expedition led by Juan Bautista de Anza from Mexico to the San Francisco Bay area. The trail passes through Arizona, California and Sonora, Mexico.
The Anza Trail Coalition Arizona was established in 2012 as part of the larger Anza Trail Coalition based in California. The coalition works to preserve the historic trail, and to create a vibrant cultural and recreational experience for visitors.
