The Tubac Historical Society, located in Tubac, Arizona, is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and celebration of the rich history and culture of the Tubac area. Established in 1966, the Society is dedicated to preserving the artifacts and stories of Tubac’s unique past and to providing educational opportunities for the community.

The Society operates the Tubac Presidio State Historic Park, Arizona’s first Spanish colonial presidio, and provides guided tours of the presidio and its grounds. The Presidio was established in 1752 as a Spanish military outpost and is one of the oldest European settlements in the United States.

The Society also operates the Tubac Historical Museum, which houses a collection of artifacts and memorabilia from the area’s history, including photos, clothing, tools, and other items. The museum also features a library, a research center, and a gift shop.

In addition, the Society organizes a variety of events, including lectures, tours, and workshops, to educate the community about Tubac’s history. These events are designed to promote understanding and appreciation of the area’s cultural heritage and to foster a sense of community among Tubac residents.
