INTUIT: The Center for Intuitive and Outsider Art is located in the Chicago Loop in the heart of Chicago, Illinois. Founded in 1991, INTUIT is a non-profit organization dedicated to collecting, exhibiting and preserving outsider and intuitive artworks. INTUIT was the first museum in the United States to focus exclusively on these art forms and currently houses over 4,000 artworks. Their permanent collection features works by renowned artists such as Henry Darger, Bill Traylor, and Lee Godie, among many others. The center’s mission is to increase public understanding and appreciation of outsider and intuitive art and to provide educational and research resources for those interested in learning about these art forms.

INTUIT has three main galleries, including a main gallery that showcases rotating exhibitions of art from their permanent collection, a small gallery that features works from emerging and established outsider and intuitive artists, and a Hands On Gallery, which houses a variety of interactive art for visitors to explore. The center also offers educational programs, lectures and workshops, and hosts regular events and performances. In addition, INTUIT has an online presence and offers an online store where visitors can purchase artworks, books, and other merchandise.

INTUIT is committed to preserving and promoting outsider and intuitive art. As such, the center has been recognized as a leader in the field and is a vital part of the Chicago art community.
