Mack Town A Living History is a living history museum located in Rockton, Illinois. The museum is centered around the former village of Macktown, which was established in 1835 by the Mack family. The museum is a re-created village with a variety of historic buildings, including a blacksmith shop, a general store, a schoolhouse, a church, a stagecoach inn, and a post office, as well as a variety of other structures from the 1800s. The museum also includes a variety of historic artifacts, such as furniture, tools, clothing, and books. Visitors to the museum can explore the village and learn about the history of the area and the Mack family. The museum also hosts a variety of events and activities throughout the year, including a Christmas Parade, a Fall Festival, and a Heritage Day.
