The Filipino American Historical Society of Chicago (FAHSC) is a non-profit organization established in 1984 with the purpose of preserving, promoting, and celebrating Filipino American heritage in the Chicago area. The organization is committed to researching, preserving, and sharing the history of Filipino Americans and their contributions to the Midwest.
FAHSC organizes and participates in various activities throughout the year, such as lectures, workshops, symposiums, and cultural activities. The organization also works to help integrate Filipino American culture into mainstream American culture.
FAHSC also works to create opportunities for the Filipino American community to network and build relationships. Through its programs, the organization has been able to reach out to both students and adults in the Filipino American community, helping them become active participants in civic and political life.
