The Lombard Historical Society was founded in 1967 to preserve and study the history of the village of Lombard, Illinois. The organization is a non-profit and volunteer-run organization dedicated to educating the public about the history of the community.

The Society operates several museum sites throughout the village, including the Victorian Cottage Museum, the Lily Reid Holt Memorial Cottage, and the Dellora A. Norris Cultural Arts Center. The Society also maintains a research library with over 10,000 volumes on local history and related topics, as well as a collection of artifacts from the area.
