The New Canaan Historical Society Building is a historic structure located in New Canaan, Connecticut. Built in 1845, the building was once the home of the city’s first postmaster, William K. Hoyt. The structure is a two-story clapboard structure with a gable roof and a two-story porch. The building is unusual in that it has a Greek Revival style front entrance and a Federal style rear entrance. The Historical Society maintains the building and its grounds in the same condition as it was when the building first opened.
