The Fowl River Area Civic Association (FRACA) is an organization dedicated to making the Theodore, Alabama area a better place to live, work, and play. Founded in 1957, the civic association has been a leader in advocating for the community’s interests and improving the quality of life for its citizens.
FRACA’s mission is to promote and protect the interests of the citizens of Fowl River and its surrounding community by providing a forum for addressing ongoing issues and by working to improve services, infrastructure and community resources. The organization works to educate and inform the public about local and state government policies, and to ensure that community members have access to resources and information.
The civic association also works to enhance the aesthetics of the area, and provides support for community events such as parades, festivals, and other gatherings. FRACA is committed to protecting and preserving the natural resources of the area, such as its waterways, forests, and wetlands.
In addition to these activities, the civic association also provides a variety of services to its members, including legal advice, financial assistance, and referrals to other community organizations. FRACA also sponsors an annual awards ceremony to recognize those members of the community who have made outstanding contributions to the area.
