The Alabama Bench and Bar Historical Society is an organization that was established in 1986 to preserve and promote the history of the legal profession in the state of Alabama. The Society is dedicated to preserving the history of the courts, lawyers, and judges of the state and to educating the public on the role of the legal profession in the development of Alabama’s history. The organization is headquartered in Montgomery, Alabama.

The Society collects and preserves books, manuscripts, photographs, and other materials related to the history of the legal profession in the state. The Society also publishes books and materials related to the history of the legal profession, sponsors lectures and seminars, and works to educate the public on the history of the legal profession in Alabama.

The Society’s website provides visitors with information about upcoming events, and a link to their archives. The archives include records of the Alabama Supreme Court, the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals, the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals, the Alabama Court of Chancery, the Alabama Court of Appeals, and the Federal District Court for the Middle District of Alabama.

The Alabama Bench and Bar Historical Society is committed to preserving the history of the legal profession in Alabama and to educating the public on its importance. The Society’s efforts help to ensure that the legal profession’s contributions to the state’s history are remembered and honored.
