The Sacramento Zoo is located in William Land Park in Sacramento, California. Founded in 1927, the zoo covers 14 acres and houses over 140 species of animals from all over the world. The zoo is home to a variety of mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians, as well as a diversity of fish, invertebrates, and plants. The zoo also offers educational programming for all ages, including lectures and demonstrations, camps, school field trips, and more.

The Sacramento Zoo is home to many animals native to California, such as the endangered California condor, and many exotic animals, such as the snow leopard, African elephant, and the red panda. The zoo also offers a variety of interactive experiences, such as the petting zoo, the bird aviary, and the giraffe feeding station. Visitors can also take part in various animal encounters, such as feeding the lorikeets and giraffes, and getting up close and personal with the reptiles.
