Montalvo Arts Center is a non-profit cultural center located in Saratoga, California. Founded in 1912 by Senator James Duval Phelan, Montalvo Arts Center is set on 175 acres of natural beauty, featuring historic Mediterranean-style villas and lush gardens. The center offers a variety of programming ranging from visual and performing arts to educational and outdoor activities.

The Arts Center features a large outdoor amphitheater, a scenic outdoor sculpture garden, a full-service restaurant, and a variety of educational programs such as artist residencies and workshops. Montalvo’s main stage hosts a variety of performances ranging from symphony orchestras to Broadway musicals, as well as classical and contemporary dancer, theatre, and jazz. The Arts Center also presents lectures, poetry readings, and film screenings.

Prepare to be amazed We went to see Hanami, the cherry blossoms at Hakone Gardens, a Japanese garden in Saratoga, California. It was an enchanting experience to walk at night below cherry trees in full blossom, and along bamboo trees. This is the main gate where you enter.

I processed a realistic, a balanced, and a paintery HDR photo from three RAW exposures, blended them selectively, carefully adjusted the color balance and curves, and desaturated the image. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.

20240330_134055e Happy bespectacled stink bugs (aka hedge nettle stink bugs, but i like the other name way more). The patch of hedge nettle exploded the past two years, and along with it the population of these insects did too.
