The Fresno Zoological Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to the long-term sustainability of the Fresno Chaffee Zoo. Founded in 1967, the Society has been a major source of financial and volunteer support for the Zoo’s ongoing development. The Society is committed to protecting the Zoo’s natural resources, providing educational opportunities and inspiring conservation of wildlife and habitat.

The Fresno Zoological Society strives to create a world-class regional Zoo through the acquisition of new animals, the development of new exhibits, and the continued improvement of existing exhibits. The Society works to enrich the lives of the Zoo’s visitors and guests by providing educational programs, special events, and volunteer opportunities. The Society also supports the Zoo’s conservation efforts, which include endangered species protection, habitat restoration and animal reintroduction projects.

The Fresno Zoological Society works to ensure that the Zoo remains a safe and accessible place for all visitors. The Society provides financial support for the Zoo’s infrastructure, maintenance, and security needs. The Society also works to ensure that the Zoo remains a viable and respected institution within the community.
