Saturn V Rocket, United States Space and Rocket Center, Tranquility Base, Huntsville, AL Opened in 1970 on the grounds of the Redstone Arsenal, the United Space and Rocket Center occupies a series of buildings, the oldest of which is a Modern Brutalist-style structure designed by Huntsville-based architect David Crowe, and saw the addition of large additions in 1982 and 2005.  In 2008, the center saw the addition of the Davidson Center for Space Exploration, which houses multiple exhibits.  The grounds of the United States Space and Rocket Center also hosts Space Camp, an extracurricular educational program for schoolchildren.  Today, the United States Space and Rocket Center is a major draw for visitors to the Huntsville region, with exhibits of historic space exploration equipment, rockets, and vehicles, and is heavily affiliated with the nearby Marshall Space Flight Center.

The Morgan County Genealogical Society Inc. (MCGS) is a non-profit organization based in Decatur, Alabama. Established in 1999, MCGS is dedicated to researching, preserving, and sharing the genealogical history of Morgan County and the surrounding areas.

The Society provides numerous resources for genealogical research, including access to databases, documents, and records. MCGS members can use the Society's library to access historical newspapers, books, and other primary sources. The Society also hosts educational classes and seminars to teach people how to conduct genealogical research.

MCGS also produces a quarterly newsletter and a quarterly journal that feature articles about the history of Morgan County and the surrounding areas. The journal also includes genealogical research, family history, and other topics related to genealogy.

In addition to its research and educational efforts, MCGS also actively works to preserve historic sites in Morgan County. The Society sponsors tours of historic sites, as well as field trips to local cemeteries. By preserving the past, MCGS helps to ensure that the history of Morgan County will not be forgotten.

MCGS offers membership to individuals and families who are interested in learning about the history of Morgan County and the surrounding areas. The Society also welcomes donations from members and non-members alike.

The Morgan County Genealogical Society Inc. is committed to preserving the history of Morgan County for future generations. Through its research, education, and preservation efforts, MCGS is helping to ensure that the history of Morgan County will not be forgotten.
