Salinas / “Day or Remembrance Memorial Garden” (# 0076) The “Day or Remembrance Memorial Garden” in Salinas, near the Rodeo Grounds where Monterey area Japanese were involuntarily assembled before being sent to internment camps (mostly to the <u><a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/donbrr/9640061740">Poston Internment camp</a></u>) during WWII. There is an an excellent Youtube (link below) depicting this garden and then with extensive pictures of the makeshift barracks on the rodeo grounds.
