The Mt Pleasant Historical Society is a non-profit organization located in Mt Pleasant, Ohio that is dedicated to preserving and promoting the history of the area. The society was established in 1983 and has since become a vital part of the community.

The society is housed in a historic building that was once a general store and post office. The building has been restored and now serves as the society's headquarters and museum. The museum features a collection of artifacts, photographs, and documents that showcase the history of Mt Pleasant and the surrounding area.

In addition to maintaining the museum, the Mt Pleasant Historical Society also hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including lectures, tours, and community celebrations. The society also works to preserve historic buildings and landmarks in the area, including the Mt Pleasant Cemetery and the Mt Pleasant Methodist Episcopal Church.

Membership in the society is open to anyone who is interested in history and wants to support the preservation of local heritage. The society is run by a dedicated group of volunteers who are passionate about sharing the history of Mt Pleasant with the community and future generations.
