The Niagara County Historical Society (NCHS) is a non-profit organization located in Lockport, NY. Founded in 1883, NCHS strives to preserve and promote the rich history of Niagara County and the Niagara Frontier. NCHS is the longest continuously operating historical society in Niagara County and is dedicated to the preservation of Niagara County’s heritage.
The Society operates the Lockport Museum & History Center, which offers historical exhibits, educational programming and research services. The museum also houses the Niagara County Historical Collection, containing artifacts, photographs, documents and other materials related to the history of Niagara County.
NCHS is also actively involved in community outreach and education.
