The Global Aeronautical Foundation-A Historical Flying Museum (GAF) is an educational and research center located in Moorpark, California. Founded in 1985, GAF is dedicated to the preservation and restoration of historic aircraft and the promotion of aviation history. The museum houses more than 50 rare and historic aircraft, including a Boeing 727, a B-17 Flying Fortress, a B-25 Mitchell, a P-51 Mustang, and a P-38 Lightning.

GAF’s collection includes aircraft from the World War II era, as well as vintage trainers, biplanes, and helicopters. The museum also features an exhibit on the history of the U.S. Air Force, and a collection of memorabilia from the war, such as uniforms, medals, and documents. Visitors can explore the museum’s interactive exhibits, which include flight simulators and a jet engine display. GAF also offers educational programs for students, including tours, lectures, and workshops.

The museum is open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 4 pm. Admission is free for children under 12, and discounted for veterans and active military members. The museum also hosts special events throughout the year, such as airshows and fly-ins. GAF is committed to preserving and promoting aviation history, and providing educational opportunities to the community.

The Carmel Mission ... at the Mission Courtyard at the Gardens of the World. On the walls of the portico surrounding the courtyard are paintings of each of the 21 missions founded by the Franciscan Order between 1769 and 1833. They were placed about 30 miles apart (the distance of a days journey then) between San Diego and Sonoma; the total distance is about 650 miles. Thousand Oaks
