Heritage Complex is a multi-purpose facility located in Tulare, California. Spread across 160 acres of land, the complex is a hub for numerous events and activities. The complex comprises of several buildings that offer a variety of amenities and services. Some of the key features of the Heritage Complex include:

- Tulare County Fairgrounds: A sprawling fairgrounds that hosts the annual Tulare County Fair. The fairgrounds feature a variety of exhibition halls, livestock arenas, and outdoor spaces for concerts, shows, and other events.

- Heritage Hall: A modern event center that can accommodate up to 1,600 guests. The hall boasts state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment, a commercial kitchen, and a spacious lobby area.

- Agriculture Education Center: A facility that offers educational programs and workshops on agriculture and farming. The center features classrooms, labs, and a demonstration garden.

- RV Park: A full-service RV park that offers 200 spaces with hookups for water, electricity, and sewage. The park also features a laundry room, a swimming pool, and a clubhouse.

In addition to these, the Heritage Complex also has a rodeo arena, a race track, and several outdoor sports fields. The complex is a popular destination for events such as trade shows, concerts, weddings, and festivals.

Tulare / historic downtown (# 2444) Tulare is a town of 69,000 in Tulare County and is only 8 miles south of the much larger city (141,000 pop.) of Visalia. The economy of the area is primarily agricultural. The historic downtown section of Tulare was pleasant, with tree lined streets and well-preserved historic buildings such as this one. Unfortunately the only thing I could find about the building was a real estate site listing it as built in 1907.
Tulare / Linder & Harlow mural (# 2435) Though not a great picture due to shade, I found this mural of the local Linder & Harlow Carriage and Wagon Repository to be fascinating, since I’ve never seen anything about the sorts of facilities that would have been built for carriages. The mural was painted by a local in 1998 and one of the men on it is Reynold Linder who immigrated from German to Tulare in 1888. The mural is on the Linder building, though I’m almost certain this Linder building is not the same as the original Repository. In 1958, General Maurice Preston flew the B-17 to his hometown of Tulare, CA. Here, the town affectionately dubbed the plane “Preston’s Pride”. This B-17 Flying Fortress is a gift from the U.S.A.F. to AMVETS Post No. 56 as a memorial to all men and women of Tulare who served their country World War II. It is also a tribute to our own Major General Maurice Preston, Operations Chief U.S.A.F. Retired, who flew this plane to Tulare on August 5, 1958.
