Kid Zone Museum in Hemet, California is a unique and fun learning experience for children of all ages. This museum offers interactive exhibits that are both educational and entertaining. The museum’s main focus is on Science, Art and Technology and provides hands-on activities to encourage learning and exploration.

The museum’s exhibits range from a replica of a working farm, where kids can explore and learn about animal care, to a space exploration exhibit, where they can explore the wonders of outer space. There is also an art and technology gallery, which houses rotating exhibits from around the world.

The museum also features a small theater where kids can watch educational movies and documentaries, as well as participate in interactive presentations. Additionally, the museum offers a variety of educational workshops, seminars, and camps.

The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday and admission is free for children under the age of five. All other guests are charged a nominal fee. Kid Zone Museum is a great place for kids of all ages to learn and explore.

Perris / downtown (# 0022) Though small, downtown Perris was in good shape with multiple, active, small businesses and many customers. The town is quite historic by Southern California suburban standards. It was founded in 1885 as a railroad town and is named after Fred Perris of the California Southern Railroad. (<u><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia Perris,_California" rel="noreferrer nofollow">Perris</a></u>.)
Perris / corporate phone eyesore… (# 0016). Could not resist this, mainly because I’ve had friends who worked for various incarnations of ‘the phone company’ (Pacific/Southwest Bell/AT&T) and would have found interesting this abandoned ‘phone’ (most recently Frontier, the seeming last resort for landline phone companies) company building. Most of central Perris looked fairly good, this really stood out as a corporate eyesore.
Perris / Perris Theater (# 0018) Opened in 1946, designed in an art-deco style but apparently modified at various times. It’s now owned by the city for its historical value to downtown, but closed due to structural problems. Pictures in the below links show the theater as once having a marquee around the base of the tall sign. Perris / SoCal Rail Rio Grande Baggage - Museum (# 0015) One of two Denver & Rio Grande baggage cars that house the <i>Middleton Museum of Toy Trains & Americana</i> at the Southern California Railroad Museum. Unfortunately, couldn’t find any detail about the toy train museum – so will have to visit... The day I visited the museum there was almost no one there, which made it easier to explore the grounds but I didn’t get into any of the car barns. Perris / SoCal Rail Museum UP 2564 (# 0007) Originally built in 1921 for a Union Pacific subsidiary and traded UP subsidiary “Oregon Short Line” in 1923 where it was used until 1955. Retired in 1959 and wound up at this museum in 1997.
