The Packard Motorcar Foundation is a non-profit organization located in Grand Blanc, Michigan dedicated to preserving the legacy of the Packard Motor Car Company. The foundation was established in 1989 to celebrate the history of the Packard brand and to educate the public on its importance in American automotive history.

The museum houses a collection of more than 20 Packard automobiles spanning the years from 1902 to 1958, as well as a library and archives containing original documents, photographs, and other historical materials related to the Packard Motor Car Company.

The foundation is also involved in the restoration and maintenance of Packard automobiles, with a team of dedicated volunteers and professionals working to keep these classic cars in top condition. The foundation hosts regular events and exhibits, including a popular annual car show, to share the history and beauty of the Packard brand with the public.

In addition to its museum and preservation efforts, the Packard Motorcar Foundation also supports educational programs and scholarships for students studying automotive design, engineering, and technology. HESR 745-04 - Durand With the assistance of the 702 Crew, the 745 crew shoves the 100 car rocket out of Durand Yard.
HESR 3867 - Durand Before I began building the CN Interchange for the night, I took a moment to shoot one of the last RailAmerica painted engines around. While it's image is patched and chipping by the day, you are still able to see a little bit of the motor's history in different spots. From CRIP Blue, P&LE Yellow, the Red RailAmerica, to now the Red, White, & Blue. It was recently confirmed that the last 3 RailAmerica motors we have will be getting repainted into the G&W Paint. Before they get dipped, the HESR 2028 will lead the way first after an emissions rebuild. I'm not sure if the RA's are getting such rebuild treatment, but at the very least an RV A/C unit is getting installed on each one before painting. The 2028 should be orange before the end of the year, and depending how quickly they do it, the last 3 RA painted motors will also become just a memory.
