The Sewall-Scripture House is a historic residence located in Rockport, Massachusetts. Constructed in 1756, it is one of the oldest houses in the town. The house was built by Samuel Sewall, a wealthy merchant, and has had several owners over the years.

The Sewall-Scripture House is a two-story building with a gambrel roof and clapboard siding. The house features a central chimney, which was common in colonial New England homes. The interior of the house has been restored to reflect its original 18th-century design, with period furnishings and finishes.

The house is named after its two most famous owners, the Sewall and Scripture families. The Sewalls owned the house until the mid-19th century, and the Scriptures purchased the property in the early 1900s. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

Today, the Sewall-Scripture House is open to the public as a museum. Visitors can take guided tours of the house to learn about its history and the lives of the families who lived there. The museum also hosts special events and programs throughout the year, including lectures, workshops, and exhibits.
