Virginia Creeper Sphinx (Darapsa myron) Different looking, bulbous, was on the porch the other night. They're found east of the Rockies from Canada to Mexico, and are named for what they eat, per wiki "virginia creeper, viburnums, grape vines, and raccoon grapes." They're green caterpillars.

First shot using a clip on Raynox macro lens DCR-250. Less depth of focus, but more detail where the focus is.
