They're found east of the Rockies from Canada to Mexico, and are named for what they eat, per wiki "virginia creeper, viburnums, grape vines, and raccoon grapes." They're green caterpillars. First shot using a clip on Raynox macro lens DCR-250. Less depth of focus, but more detail where the focus is.

mother alligator on log with baby on back Easter 2024, went for a hike around Lake Martin and saw a lot of alligators. This is the mother alligator on the log with the babies from the other two shots adjacent in the photostream. There's one baby on her back in this shot. Okay, so this was a seasonal lake, but they built the levee in 1952 to make it a year round lake. There were a lot of alligators at the lake, we walked around it today on Easter. The rookery is not accessible though, the raised wood trail to view the rookery is badly damaged. Louisiana
