Lexington Financial Center, Main Street and Mill Street, Lexington, KY Built in 1987, this Postmodern-style skyscraper was designed by Sherman Carter Barnhart for the Webb Companies to serve as the headquarters of the Webb Companies, as well as a commercial office building.  The building is the tallest building in Lexington, standing 31 stories and 410 feet (125 meters) tall.  The building features a blue-tinted glass exterior, an octagonal footprint, a trapezoid-shaped roof, and a plaza around the base.  The building today houses the Lexington offices of Fifth Third Bank, among other office tenants.

Woodford County Heritage Commission is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and protecting the history, culture, and natural resources of Woodford County, Kentucky. The organization was founded in 2003 to promote the preservation of historic sites, structures, and districts within the county. The Commission is also responsible for developing educational programs to promote the preservation of local heritage.

The Commission is governed by a Board of Directors which is composed of nine members who are appointed by the Woodford County Judge Executive. The Commission is also supported by an Advisory Board of local residents with an interest in preserving and protecting Woodford County’s cultural resources.

The Commission works to protect the historical and cultural resources of the county through education, advocacy, and preservation. It works to identify, document, and preserve the county’s architectural, archaeological, and historical resources. The Commission also works to promote public understanding and appreciation of the county’s cultural resources through educational programs, publications, and events.

In addition to its work preserving the cultural and historical resources of the county, the Commission also works to protect and enhance the county’s natural resources. The Commission works to preserve natural features such as scenic vistas, wetlands, and wildlife habitats. The Commission also works with local landowners to promote the stewardship of the county’s natural resources.

The Woodford County Heritage Commission is an important organization in the preservation of Woodford County’s cultural and natural resources. Through its work, the Commission helps to ensure that the county’s unique history and culture are preserved and appreciated for generations to come.
