Lexington Financial Center, Main Street and Mill Street, Lexington, KY Built in 1987, this Postmodern-style skyscraper was designed by Sherman Carter Barnhart for the Webb Companies to serve as the headquarters of the Webb Companies, as well as a commercial office building.  The building is the tallest building in Lexington, standing 31 stories and 410 feet (125 meters) tall.  The building features a blue-tinted glass exterior, an octagonal footprint, a trapezoid-shaped roof, and a plaza around the base.  The building today houses the Lexington offices of Fifth Third Bank, among other office tenants.

The Woodford County Historical Society in Versailles, Kentucky, is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the history of the county. Founded in 1969, the Society is committed to educating the public about the county’s past through its museum, library, and archives. The museum houses a collection of artifacts and documents related to the history of Woodford County and the surrounding region, including a large number of Civil War items. The library contains an extensive collection of books, manuscripts, photographs, maps, and other materials related to the county’s history. The archives feature a variety of documents, including birth and death certificates, military records, school records, and newspaper articles.

The Society also offers a wide range of educational programs, including lectures, workshops, and field trips. The Society produces a quarterly newsletter and offers an annual membership for those interested in learning more about the county’s history. The Society is also involved in community outreach, such as a Heritage Trail project that highlights historical sites throughout Woodford County.
