Lexington Financial Center, Main Street and Mill Street, Lexington, KY Built in 1987, this Postmodern-style skyscraper was designed by Sherman Carter Barnhart for the Webb Companies to serve as the headquarters of the Webb Companies, as well as a commercial office building.  The building is the tallest building in Lexington, standing 31 stories and 410 feet (125 meters) tall.  The building features a blue-tinted glass exterior, an octagonal footprint, a trapezoid-shaped roof, and a plaza around the base.  The building today houses the Lexington offices of Fifth Third Bank, among other office tenants.

The Kentucky Mansions Preservation Foundation, Inc. (KMPF) is a non-profit organization based in Lexington, Kentucky. It was founded in 2002 by local historians and preservationists, who wanted to protect and restore Kentucky’s historic mansions. KMPF has a mission to “preserve and promote Kentucky’s architectural heritage” through preservation and public outreach projects.

KMPF works to promote public awareness of Kentucky’s architectural and cultural history, and to protect and preserve the state’s historic mansions. The organization has been responsible for helping to restore and preserve a number of important architectural landmarks in the state, including Ashland, the Henry Clay Estate, and the Hunt-Morgan House.

KMPF also works to educate the public about the importance of historic preservation, and engages in public outreach activities to help spread awareness of the importance of saving and protecting these important pieces of Kentucky’s history. The organization also provides a variety of resources for those interested in learning more about Kentucky’s architectural heritage, such as a library of books, videos, and other materials.

KMPF is supported through membership dues, donations, grants, and other forms of fundraising. The organization also works with other local and state organizations to help preserve Kentucky’s historic mansions. Through its efforts, KMPF hopes to ensure that Kentucky’s architectural and cultural heritage is preserved for future generations.
