The LaHarpe Historical and Genealogical Society of LaHarpe, Illinois was established in 1976. The goal of the Society is to preserve the history and genealogy of LaHarpe and the surrounding area.
The Society's main project is the preservation of the historic LaHarpe Public Library which was founded in 1896. The Society is responsible for the maintenance of the library and its archives. The library and archives contain a variety of resources including documents, photographs, books, maps, artifacts, and other historical items.
