The Elizabeth Historical Society (EHS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the history of Elizabeth, Illinois. Founded in 1977, EHS is one of the oldest historical societies in the state and is located in the city of Elizabeth, located in the central part of Illinois. The Society seeks to preserve the history of the town and its people, and to promote knowledge and appreciation of Elizabeth’s history.
