The New Berlin Historical Corporation is a non-profit, volunteer organization dedicated to preserving and promoting New Berlin, Illinois' history. Established in 1977, the organization has worked to nurture the development of New Berlin’s historical resources and to encourage the appreciation of its history. The New Berlin Historical Corporation strives to maintain a collection of artifacts, photographs, documents, and other material that provide a record of the community's past. Additionally, the organization provides educational programs, tours, and exhibits that enable the public to learn more about the town's history.
The organization is headed by a Board of Directors, which is comprised of local citizens who are committed to preserving the community’s history. The board meets regularly to discuss and plan projects, such as the annual New Berlin Historical Festival, which features living history demonstrations, historic home tours, and other activities. The organization also produces books and brochures about New Berlin’s history, which are available for purchase.
