The Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art (UIMA) is located in the Ukrainian Village of Chicago, Illinois. Founded in 2005, the institute is dedicated to promoting the participation of Ukrainian and Eastern European contemporary art and culture in the Midwest. The UIMA offers a variety of exhibitions, educational programs, lectures and workshops, and other events that create meaningful connections between the Ukrainian and American communities.

The institute is a multidisciplinary art center, hosting exhibitions, screenings, and performances that explore a range of topics in the realm of contemporary art. UIMA works in collaboration with local and international partners, as well as museums, galleries and universities, to bring exciting, new, and diverse art to the Midwest.

UIMA also hosts outreach programs, offering educational workshops and classes for students, seniors, and families. The institute provides opportunities for lifelong learning and creative enrichment, for those of all ages and backgrounds.

The UIMA is also home to the Ukrainian Museum of Modern Art (UMMA), which houses a permanent collection of Ukrainian art. The collection includes works from the 1920s to present day, and features paintings, sculptures, prints, photographs, and more. The museum is open to the public and features rotating exhibitions throughout the year.
