The Geneva History Center, located in Geneva, Illinois, is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the history of the area. Founded in 1984, it is the only museum in Geneva dedicated to preserving the local history. It is housed in a former school building built in 1895 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The center offers a variety of educational programs and exhibits, including a permanent exhibit on the history of Geneva, rotating exhibits focused on a variety of topics, and a research library. Visitors can learn about the history of the area, starting with its Native American inhabitants, through its early settlers, to the present day.

The center also provides a range of educational resources, including workshops and lectures, a children’s corner, and a genealogy library. The center hosts several special events throughout the year, including a holiday open house and a festival of history.

The Geneva History Center is supported by membership dues, donations, and grants from the City of Geneva, Kane County, and the State of Illinois. It is open Wednesday through Sunday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm and admission is free.
