NATIONAL ITALIAN AMERICAN HALL

The National Italian American Hall of Fame (NIHF) is located in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Established in 1979, the NIHF was the first Italian American hall of fame in the United States. The NIHF is dedicated to the recognition of the many achievements of Italian Americans, honoring those who have made outstanding contributions to the Italian American community and to the American way of life.

The NIHF is housed in the Italian American Cultural Center, which is located in the heart of the Italian American community in Arlington Heights. The building features a large atrium with a mural depicting Italian American history and culture. The interior of the building includes a museum gallery, a library, meeting rooms, and a grand ballroom.

The Hall of Fame itself is located on the second floor and features plaques of inductees and other artifacts that reflect the rich history of the Italian American experience. Each year the NIHF inducts a select group of individuals into the Hall of Fame. In addition to honoring individuals, the NIHF also recognizes organizations and businesses that have made significant contributions to the Italian American community.

The NIHF hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including lectures, seminars, symposia, and book signings. The NIHF also sponsors an annual Italian American Heritage Day, which celebrates the contributions of Italian Americans to the United States. The NIHF is committed to preserving the culture and heritage of the Italian American community and educating people about the contributions of Italian Americans to the United States.
