The Idaho Legal History Society (ILHS) is a non-profit organization, founded in 1987 in Boise, Idaho. The ILHS was created to preserve the legal history of Idaho and to promote the study of law and legal history in the state. The Society is committed to collecting, preserving, and interpreting legal history in Idaho.

The Society is governed by a board of directors who are composed of attorneys, legal historians, and other interested individuals. The board meets on a quarterly basis to discuss the Society's activities and to plan for the upcoming year.

The Society is also involved in several projects that promote legal history in Idaho. Taeniatherum caput-medusae - medusahead Medusahead growing in the Boise Foothills just west of Five Mile Creek and just north of Cottonwood Creek and E Shaw Mountain Road, Ada County, Idaho. The Wyoming big sagebrush steppe in this area is highly perturbed and mostly removed because of somewhat recent history of fire and overgrazing. Regardless, medusahead is only one of many introduced plants in this area (along with Japanese brome and intermediate wheatgrass) that coexists with native plant species (including Aristida purpurea longiseta and Elymus elymoides).
