The Idaho Humanities Council (IHC) is a non-profit organization located in Boise, Idaho that seeks to engage and inspire Idahoans through the exploration of human culture and ideas. Founded in 1974, IHC works to bring together organizations, individuals, and communities to increase public understanding of humanities. IHC has several programs including grant programs, public humanities programs, and a speakers bureau.

IHC's grant programs support projects that increase public understanding of humanities. The grants range from $2,000 to $5,000 and are awarded to organizations and individuals who create and design innovative projects that reflect the IHC's mission. Projects include lectures, film screenings, exhibits, and more.

IHC's public humanities programs provide an opportunity for Idahoans to engage in a variety of activities that promote the humanities and bring people together. These include book talks, lecture series, film screenings, and seminars.

IHC's speakers bureau provides Idahoans the opportunity to engage with national, state, and local experts, scholars, and performers. This program is designed to bring knowledge, insight, and understanding to audiences in Idaho.

The IHC works to increase public understanding of the humanities and foster an appreciation for the culture and ideas of Idahoans. Through their programs and initiatives, IHC works to bring people together to explore and discuss humanities topics.
