The University of Hawaii Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Honolulu, Hawaii. Established in 1955, the Foundation is dedicated to supporting the University of Hawaii with private philanthropic resources. The University of Hawaii Foundation works to increase private philanthropic support for the University of Hawaii system, its campuses, and affiliated organizations.

The Foundation's primary role is to raise funds in support of the University of Hawaii's academic and research mission. It also provides donor services, stewardship, and donor education, and manages and administers scholarship and endowment funds. The Foundation works closely with the University of Hawaii's faculty, staff, and alumni to identify and secure philanthropic resources for the University's academic and research programs.

The University of Hawaii Foundation manages more than $450 million in assets for the University of Hawaii and its affiliated organizations. This includes nearly 1,500 scholarship and endowment funds held in trust for the University. In addition, the Foundation administers over 6,500 annual gifts and more than 600 planned gifts.

The Foundation's annual giving program includes a broad range of initiatives, from unrestricted gifts to designated funds. The Foundation also works to increase the number of private donors and the amount of their contributions to the University of Hawaii. The Foundation's annual fund campaigns have raised more than $50 million in support of the University of Hawaii.

The University of Hawaii Foundation is committed to providing exceptional donor service, growing philanthropic support, and developing meaningful relationships with the University of Hawaii's supporters.
