The Lyon Arboretum in Honolulu, Hawaii is a 19.5-acre botanical garden and research facility owned and operated by the University of Hawaii. It is located in the Manoa Valley, on the island of O'ahu, and is part of the University's College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources. The Arboretum was founded in 1918, and is one of the oldest and largest tropical arboreta in the United States. It is home to over 5,000 species of tropical and subtropical plants, including many rare and endangered species.

The Arboretum consists of four major areas: a native Hawaiian garden, a tropical rainforest, an orchid garden, and an ethnobotanical garden. Visitors can explore the Arboretum on a self-guided tour, or take a guided tour with a trained naturalist. Educational programs and workshops are also available.

The Arboretum is open to the public, and admission is free. It is open from 9am to 4pm, Monday through Friday, and from 9am to 3pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Visitors are encouraged to bring water and wear comfortable shoes, as some of the trails are steep and can be slippery. Dogs are not allowed.

The Arboretum is a popular spot for bird watching and nature photography. It is also a great place to observe the many species of plants, birds, and animals that call the Arboretum home. The Arboretum is a great way to learn about Hawaii's native plants and ecosystems, and to appreciate the beauty of the natural world.
