The day-long event includes a flight to Washington DC, the opportunity to visit the memorials, and a visit to Arlington National Cemetery. The Foundation provides each veteran with a guardian to assist them with the day’s activities, meals and snacks, and a commemorative t-shirt.
The Honor Flight Foundation of Fayette works with the community to host fundraisers, provide financial assistance, and organize the flights. The Foundation also works with local organizations to arrange for volunteer guardians to accompany the veterans on their trip.
