The Walter F. George Law Museum is located in Vienna, Georgia and is dedicated to preserving the history of the legal system in the area. The museum is housed in the former Taylor County Courthouse, a two-story brick building built in 1882. The museum features more than 8,000 artifacts, photographs and documents related to the history of the legal system in the area.

The main exhibit in the museum is the story of the career of former Supreme Court Justice and U.S. Senator Walter F. George. It includes his desk, gavels, and photographs. Other exhibits include a 19th-century courtroom, a replica of the state Supreme Court chamber, and a display of the documents that established the Georgia Bar Association in 1881.

The museum also houses a library of over 1,000 volumes of legal books and documents, some of which date back to the early 1800s. There are also displays of vintage legal equipment, such as law books, scales, and typewriters.

The museum is open to the public and provides educational programs and tours for visitors. It is open from Tuesday through Saturday from 10am to 4pm. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.

29/365–Driving Back Home Jim &amp; I made a mini vacation out of the trip to my aunt’s funeral in Covington, GA. It was great seeing my 8 cousins &amp; their families. We ate breakfast at the Hampton Inn and left around 10:30. We stopped for lunch in Perry at a Waffle House.
