Wren’s Nest House Museum in Atlanta, GA is the former home of the writer and folklorist Joel Chandler Harris. Harris wrote the beloved Uncle Remus stories, which were based on African-American folktales. The house was built in 1870 and was used by Harris from 1881 until his death in 1908.
The house is two stories high and features a two-story front porch. The interior features ten-foot ceilings, original furnishings, and artwork. The museum also has a library devoted to Harris and his work.
