The Broward Trust for Historic Preservation Inc. (BTHP) is a non-profit organization based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. BTHP was established in 1978 with the mission to promote, preserve, and protect the historic resources of Broward County. BTHP works to identify, evaluate, and protect historic resources of the County and its citizens.

BTHP encourages the preservation of the County’s historic resources through public education and active participation in preservation activities. BTHP serves as a public advocate for the preservation of Broward’s historic sites and structures, and works to ensure that our community’s heritage remains for future generations.

BTHP also works to promote the preservation of the County’s built environment through technical assistance, advocacy, and the implementation of preservation programs. BTHP’s activities include the operation of historic sites, the conservation and maintenance of historic structures, and the publication of educational materials on the history of Broward County and its people.

BTHP is a membership organization that is open to all, and provides a variety of activities and services to its members. These activities include lectures, workshops, historic tours, and field trips. Membership fees are used to fund preservation projects and programs, as well as to support the mission of the organization.

The Broward Trust for Historic Preservation Inc. is an invaluable resource for the community, and is dedicated to the protection and promotion of the County’s valuable historical resources.
