The Stonewall Library and Archives in Ft Lauderdale, Florida is the first and largest library and archives dedicated to preserving and promoting the history and culture of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community. Founded in 1973, Stonewall is a non-profit organization with a mission to advance understanding through the collection, preservation, and sharing of records and artifacts of the LGBT experience. The library houses an extensive collection of books, magazines, periodicals, newspapers, oral histories, photographs, videos, artifacts, and other materials related to the LGBT community.
