19TH WORLD ORCHID CONFERENCE

FT LAUDERDALE, FL

The 19th World Orchid Conference was held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida from November 9-11, 2018. The three-day event was hosted by the World Orchid Conference (WOC) to bring together orchid enthusiasts from all around the world, including experts, growers, collectors, and exhibitors. The conference featured a variety of events, including lectures, workshops, and field trips, to provide attendees with the opportunity to learn more about orchids and their care.

The opening ceremony featured a presentation from the event’s host, the Fort Lauderdale Orchid Society, as well as remarks from the WOC President. The following two days were filled with educational sessions, with topics such as orchid taxonomy, propagation, and care. There was also an exhibition of orchids from around the world, featuring beautiful blooms from a variety of species.

The conference also featured an awards ceremony, where the best orchids from the exhibition were recognized. The 19th World Orchid Conference was a great success, with attendees enjoying an opportunity to learn more about the world of orchids and celebrate the beauty of these incredible plants.
