Turnbull Colony Preservationists Inc. is a nonprofit organization based in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Founded in 1996, the organization is dedicated to the preservation and restoration of the historic Turnbull Colony in New Smyrna Beach. The Turnbull Colony was a failed attempt at establishing a Scottish colony in the area in 1768, and has long since been forgotten, but the Preservationists are working hard to make sure that the history of the Colony is not lost.
The Preservationists are working with local, state, and federal governments to protect and preserve the site, which is now a nature preserve. They are also working with the community to restore the area to its original state, and to create a living historic site to educate the public about the history of the colony and the area.
The Preservationists are also involved in various other projects, such as the production of educational materials about the colony, the creation of a museum, and the preservation of artifacts from the colony. They are also involved in various conservation projects, such as the protection of endangered species, the restoration of wetlands, and the promotion of sustainable agriculture.
