The Buffalo Soldiers Historical Society Inc. (BSHS) is a non-profit organization located in Jacksonville, Florida. Established in 2008, it is dedicated to honoring and preserving the legacy of the African American soldiers of the 9th and 10th Cavalry Regiments, known as the Buffalo Soldiers. Through educational programs, community outreach, and public awareness, the BSHS strives to educate the community about the valor, courage, and commitment of these soldiers.
The BSHS aims to serve as an advocate for veterans and to provide them with support and assistance. It also works to ensure that the accomplishments of the Buffalo Soldiers are recognized and celebrated. In addition, the BSHS works to promote the history, heritage, and culture of the African American soldier and to ensure that their contributions to our nation are remembered and honored.
