The Cleveland Park Historical Society (CPHS) is a non-profit organization located in the Cleveland Park neighborhood of Washington D.C. The organization works to preserve the history and culture of the area. It was founded in 1979 as a volunteer organization and has since grown to become a respected member of the larger Washington D.C. community.

CPHS works to promote public education and understanding of the history of Cleveland Park and the surrounding area. It holds public lectures, tours, and exhibits that highlight the past and present of the neighborhood. It also works with other local organizations to preserve and promote the culture of Cleveland Park, including the National Park Service, the Cleveland Park Library, and the Friendship House.

In addition, CPHS works to advocate for the preservation of historic sites in the area. It actively participates in the D.C. Historic Preservation Review Board and works to ensure that historic sites are protected from demolition or alteration. It also works with local civic organizations to promote the preservation of the area’s character, culture, and architecture.

CPHS is a valuable part of the Cleveland Park community and the larger Washington D.C. area. It works to ensure that the history and culture of the area are preserved and celebrated for generations to come.
