The Citizens Association of Georgetown (CAG) is a non-profit organization located in Washington, DC. Founded in 1965, the organization is dedicated to preserving the unique character and historical charm of the Georgetown neighborhood. The mission of the Citizens Association of Georgetown is to ensure that Georgetown remains a vibrant and livable community for its current and future residents.

CAG is composed of over 1,000 members and dozens of volunteer committees, who work together to support the organization’s mission. The organization is responsible for advocating for the interests of Georgetown and its citizens in the city. CAG works with the local government to ensure the preservation of Georgetown’s historic buildings, provide input on city and development projects, and ensure that the area remains a safe, vibrant, and livable community.

CAG also hosts a variety of events and activities to promote community engagement. These include monthly public meetings, workshops, movie nights, and more. Additionally, CAG offers an annual summer camp for local children and a scholarship program for Georgetown high school graduates.

CAG is a member of a number of local organizations, including the Georgetown Business Improvement District and the Georgetown Community Partnership. The organization is funded through donations, membership dues, and grants.
