ARMENIAN GENOCIDE MUSEUM AND MEMORIAL

The Armenian Genocide Museum and Memorial in Washington DC is a memorial to the victims and survivors of the Armenian Genocide of 1915-1923. It is dedicated to educating and informing the public about this tragic event in history. The Museum and Memorial are the only institution in the United States of America that focuses on the Armenian Genocide.

The Museum and Memorial feature permanent and temporary exhibitions, including artifacts, interactive displays, and multimedia presentations, that tell the story of the Armenian Genocide and its effects on Armenian culture and society. The Museum also houses a library, research center, and archives.

The Memorial features a monument that was unveiled in 2015 to commemorate the centennial of the Armenian Genocide. The monument is composed of a large bronze sculpture of a woman and child with a dove of peace in the background. It is meant to symbolize the victims and survivors of the Armenian Genocide.

The Museum and Memorial are intended to be a place of reflection and remembrance for those affected by the Armenian Genocide. They serve as a reminder of the tragedy that took place and an opportunity to educate the public about it.
