HERITAGE FLIGHT FOUNDATION

The Heritage Flight Foundation (HFF) is a non-profit organization located in Pawcatuck, Connecticut. The foundation is dedicated to the preservation of the history and legacy of military aircraft, and to providing educational experiences for the public. HFF was founded in 2002 by a group of aviation enthusiasts and has grown to become a leader in the field of military aircraft preservation.

The Foundation operates a fleet of vintage aircraft including the B-17 Flying Fortress, B-24 Liberator, P-51 Mustang, F4U Corsair, T-6 Texan and T-28 Trojan. All aircraft are maintained in flying condition and are available for demonstration flights and static display. The Foundation also maintains an extensive library of aviation equipment and memorabilia, which is available for public viewing.

The Heritage Flight Foundation also offers educational programs for students, such as its “Living History” program, which allows students to interact with veteran aviators and tour the aircraft. The Foundation also hosts special events, such as airshows, open house days, and fly-ins.

In addition to its educational and preservation efforts, the Heritage Flight Foundation strives to make a difference in the lives of those who have served in the military. The Foundation supports veterans and their families through its scholarship program, which provides tuition assistance for students who are interested in aviation-related careers.
