The Kosciuszko Historical Society Inc. is a non-profit organization located in Ansonia, Connecticut. Founded in 1996, the Society is dedicated to preserving the history and culture of the Polish-American community, with a particular emphasis on the life and legacy of the Revolutionary War hero and Polish patriot, Tadeusz Kosciuszko. This includes the collecting, preserving, and exhibiting of artifacts, documents, photographs, and other materials related to the subject, as well as the promotion of the history of the Polish-American community through programs, lectures, and other educational activities.

The Society strives to both honor the legacy of Tadeusz Kosciuszko and to make his story relevant to the present day. To accomplish this, the Society holds regular events and activities such as lectures, film screenings, and museum visits. The Society also maintains a library of Polish-American history books, and publishes a newsletter for its members.

The Society is a member of the Polish American Historical Association, and is affiliated with the Polish Falcons of America and the Polish American Congress. It is also affiliated with the Museum of Connecticut History, the Connecticut Historical Society, and the Polish Heritage Society of Greater New Haven.

The Society is funded through donations, membership fees, and grants. It is governed by an executive board and a board of directors, and is managed by an executive director. The Society’s mission is to promote an understanding and appreciation of the contributions of Polish-Americans to the history and culture of Connecticut and the United States, as well as to preserve and celebrate the life and legacy of Tadeusz Kosciuszko.
