General David Humphreys House is a historic house located in Ansonia, Connecticut. The house was built in 1783 by Revolutionary War hero and Connecticut politician General David Humphreys. It is a two-and-a-half story, five-bay Federal style residence. It has a side gable roof and a two-story ell. It is built of brick and has a central chimney and a full-length front porch.

The Humphreys House is a National Historic Landmark and has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1972. The house is a significant example of early Federal-style architecture and provides a rare glimpse into the life of a Revolutionary War hero.

The interior of the house has been largely unchanged since it was built in 1783. The main entrance hall features the original paneled doors, a double staircase and a marble fireplace. There are five fireplaces throughout the house, including a marble fireplace in the main parlor. The house also retains its original floor plan, with separate rooms for dining, parlors, and bedrooms.

The house is surrounded by a one-acre garden and has a small gazebo and a stone wall surrounding the property. The house is open to the public for tours and offers a number of interactive activities for visitors to learn about the history of the house and the life of General David Humphreys.
